To establish a baseline you should, at a minimum, monitor the following metrics: 

ActivitiesStarted 
ActivitiesTimedOut 
ExecutionsStarted 
ExecutionsTimedOut 
LambdaFunctionsStarted 
LambdaFunctionsTimedOut
